Shocks for Heavy Springs without lift

I got my heavy duty rear springs in yesterday...pain in the but. Now with everything back together the shocks are about 2 inches too short. Has anyone else run across this? My 96 has the lower shock mounts attached to the engine pan brackets. Shocks have holes on the bottom and studs on the top. I'm thinking about making some extenders for the top. That would be alot cheaper than buying some different shocks.

Called 4 auto parts stores trying to find shock extensions. Was about to give up and just make my own when O'reillys called back and said they can get them tomorrow. $11.99 kinda spendy but I should be in business.

$12 apiece? That is about 1/2 the price of a new shock. Take your old shock down there and tell them how much longer you need them and they will find them in the book.

Got the shock extensions in yesterday. They worked perfectly. Put the shocks back in range for the right amount of travel.
