Shifting

I just picked up a used Club Cart AG0032 ... My problem is this, on perfectly level ground I can shift from neutral to F/R really easy....if the ground is not level I almost break my wrist when I try and shift...it feels like something is binding...I degreased and lubed the linkage under the seat (the linkage that is connected to the shifter) when I get the cart back on level ground it shifts easy again...any ideas that may be causing this problem? and I am also trying to get ahold of a manual for this cart so I can identify all the components in the engine compartment. If a manual is available can I obtain it via the internet? I am in Panama in Central America and getting a hard copy via the mail takes forever....anything that you can help me out will be greatly appreciated....Thanks....Mike

Does the cart have a lift, or a reart seat. I know on the CC if you don't shift the 90 degree bend in the cable it will pinch on the frame, which will make it tough to shift. I don't know if that explains the different degree of shifting on flat grounds or not.

On this cart you just pull out the front seat...once the seat is out the linkage is right there..I can watch the linkage as you move it from neutral to F/R...as I mentioned on flat ground it seems to shift nice and smooth from N to either F or R....get it on a little incline and you have to use a lot of force to get it into gear.....nothing seems to be binding up...I'm wondering if the metal arm that's attached to the cable itself could have a slight bend in it and that's what's causing it to hang up? There is one screw that holds the plastic shifter...once that is removed the shifter can be removed...then there are 4 screws (on the shifter side) that once they are removed it appears the whole linkage can be removed in the engine compartment...do you think that might be the source of my problem? Thx for your help..........Mike
