Roll Your Own 4 ga Cables

I am considering fabricating my own 4ga cables. Does any one know the total length of cable required for 97 CC DS 48 volt? Also any recommendations for crimping the cable ends?

i,m not sure of the footage but the best way to crimp is with the tool thats sold........does a great job......................................................

I bought the solder pellets and the ends for them. You simply heat the connector till the solder melts and stick the cable in the melted solder. Gives a great solid connections. I got them at Napa Auto

It takes about 40' of wire to make all the cables. I like to crimp the wires for a good connection.

when i make my 4 gage cables i use the crimp tool they sell it makes a nice factory looking crimp.............than i use black liquid electrical tape and go over all exposed areas where i crimp the end to the cable so nothing is exposed to weather.............works quite well and looks dam good.................i use black cable unless someone asked for red also and they make the liquid tape in red also...............................................
