Reviving a Dead Golf Cart Battery

Is there a procedure for reviving a bad dead golf cart battery? The battery is only 6 months old and has a problem.
I heard a rumor about Epsom salts? I live in Belize and a replacement battery is $600
I also heard that if you totally discharge it and put it in backwards it will work too.

I have been in the battery biz for over 20 years, have seen all kinds of snake oils/smoke and mirrors but nothing ever really worked other than replacing the unit.
