Replacing FNR switch with Solenoids

I'm looking to replace the Manual F N R switch in our EZ GO TXT with high powered solenoid/relays.

It looks like I will need to use (4) 200A solenoids to accomplish this, and maybe a smaller relay or two.

How much amperage does a typical cart pull? I just want to make sure the solenoids will handle it.

We've gutted ours and will be doing quite a bit of custom fiberglass work as a demo, and would much rather have a switch control it.

Any input would be appreciated

That's an costly venture but since you asked, 200 amp continuous duty solenoids are fine for most uses.

why are you using 4 solenoids? for like a power boost or something? if so be careful you can ruin the motor..............................i,m just curios........................................

If I understand correctly, to take the place of the big F-N-R switch on the seat panel.
He wants to use a low amperage switch to control F-N-R functions.

Sorry, I never got the email notification of any responses.

The only reason I would be using 4 is because 2 post solenoids are readily available in my industry.

If you perhaps have a link to the 6 post ones you mentioned, it may be more cost effective or space effective for me?

Yeah, but I don't have SPAM filters active.

Happens on one or two other forums, but works fine on most, not sure why

I know a lot of forums have problems sending mail to AOL and Earthlink accounts for some reason. If your email address is with either ones of those that may be why.
