I just had a MCOR replaced on my 2003 Club Car and it lasted less than a day.It will take off super and less than 5 min it is at a creep. I was told it could be a bad speed sensor,Is this the samething as the speed controler. No matter what where is the cheepest place to get the parts because my local guy is out the roof.

If the mcor is new, voltage is good, connections all correct, looks like a controller? just a guess as some things are hard to diagnose on a forum.

Speed sensor/ controller same thing. You sure are doing a lot of shopping on the forums for an answer.

Yes I am doing alot of shopping to find out my problem, But I am also trying to learn as much as possable because I like to work on things like this. I just enjoy getting im my shop and working but it drives me up the wall if I cant fixit. I hate paying my local cart shop $55 a hour if I can fix it my self. I am having a problem with trouble shooting this speed controler problem because I dont know how to test it.

The speed sensor and controller are not the same they are 2 different parts.

If you have a speed sensor it's on the end of the motor. It's very possible that is your problem. I'm not sure how to test them, I use a good one I keep here and swap them to see if that's the problem.

If you replaced the MCOR and it's still acting the same my guess would be it's the speed sensor.

I guess we read the same forums, i found out yesterday the speed sensor and the controller are different parts. was talking to local dealer tech today and he says the same thing on these parts he keeps a good one to test. Not a bad day when you learn something.

I was told that the sensor was under the floor mat in a sealed box of some kind. But I cant fix mine myself so I took it to a friend who said he could fix it cheeper than the local shop.( we will see ). He has a cc and will do the part swap also. I hope the $ will not be to bad because my wife is not happy with me over the $ I have spent and it still is broke.

Yes the mcor is new, the guy that has it told me there was a sensor under the floor mat.I looked before I took it to him and seen nothing. He may be thinking I have another cart other than a CC but not sure. I will give him chance to look at it but I am not getting my hopes up. I am thinking it is my controller but I am not sure. The batteries tested good, wires good, new mcor, the cart will take off good for several min then slow down to a creep like dead batteries. It can set for 30 min and do a repeat. I have spent 3 time and money in this CC than I ever thought about in my old melex. I am about ready to dump it off the river bridge!!!!!!!!

I find it funny that people show their carts on other fourms and come here to figure out their problems. I guess thats because CARTAHOLICS.COM is the place to go for tech questions. Im not a member at any other fourm but this one because the members here are TOP NOTCH!!!! I dont need to know what those other guys are saying because HRC, GORNO, COPB, JRAY, ACE, BAD TO THE BONE and MANGO know their sh!t. So welcome to the fourm, we hope you enjoy it here!!!!

P.S. YES IM DRUNK POSTING BUT THAT DONT CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL!!! :buddies:

Sounds like the speed sensor to me. That's exactly how they act when the sensor on the motor goes...

Let us know what it was when you get it fixed...

My cart is still down,The guy I took it to keep it for 2 weeks and said it ran fine??? I picked it up and when I unloaded it it took off like it was brand new. About 1/2 mile is started getting slower so I headed back home. When I got home it was so slow I could read the letters on the tires. I feel that that was a waste of time and gas. Would someone tell me where the speed sensor is located on a 03,48 volt stock CC.It is series cart. And where is the best place to find the part. I have checked diffrent places but all I can find is controlers.

THANKS
