Replaced Fairplay DCX Controller With Alltrax

Have a 95 Fairplay that blew the DCX controller. I replaced it with the Alltrax and, after many emails with Alltrax, got it working...somewhat. My question is why would it fully accelerate in reverse but run half speed forward. I have tried reversing every wire on the motor with the only difference being with the AnR toggle position. I do not have access to a cart mechanic so any help would be truly appreciated.

First off a dcx is an alltrax controller, you don't swap all wires on the motor only two or fire up the software and see if you have half-speed reverse set turn that off also xct controllers have a reverse Direction setting not sure about the series controllers
