relocate key switch Electric cart

I find the on/off switch location is a reach. I want to move it to the steering column or somewhere where it isn't such a long reach.

I don't see why you can't move it. I'd want to keep it where it isn't exposed to rain though.

I'd like to wire in a "kill switch" to provide extra security when my cart is left unattended. It's a 2012 Precedent- does anyone know what the current going thru the ignition, I expect that it's very low.
