Reliving my Younger Years

Well, i ordered in a Holley Sniper fuel injection kit for the GTO. Looks fairly easy to install except for the intank fuel pump. Will keep you up to date when installed.
Did you get the Sniper fuel injection kit installed on the GTO?

I love that body style. My older brother bought a car for his girlfriend (1978) he later married; it was the same body style but was badged as a Pontiac T-37. It had a straight 6 with a 2 speed power slide trans. We all had decent jobs but loved the extra money (great tips) from delivering pizza every third night (3 brothers every third night is yours). That car took a thrashing and I have loved Pontiacs ever since. We lovingly referred to it as the Roxanne sedan She had access to my F250 390 4bbl with cherry bombs while I was delivering so she was cool with it. He died years ago but his wife is still a big part of our family.

Well going to take the GTO out tomorrow to my first car show of the year. Just been too busy with golf cart stuff all summer. Looking forward to seeing my buddies and all the hot rods from the surrounding area. One of my friends who used to be the Snap-on dealer when I had my automotive shop years ago has finished his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 396. Looking forward to see it all shiny and new.

i will always be partial to the 66 body style :)
friend of mine had one with 3 on the floor
it would put you back in the seats
dont recall anything about the engine or carb

Found a sweet 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible at car show, For Sale! Complete restoration. I was ready to buy it until I checked the vin number on Haggerty web site. Came up as a 1966 Lemans with a 326 V8. Guy was trying to sell me a clone car. People should be honest on what kind of car they have or made. He was only about 25,000.00 over market value. If I wanted to do that I would go back and buy my old GTO that I found.

I have always thought the whole numbers matching thing was more of status symbol or bragging rights thing that people would come out and spend a ton of money on. People get a car like that and turn it into a garage kept trailer queen because it is too nice to drive. I myself would only want something I could drive and enjoy. That being said I think going out of your way to badge something as something it is not is a waste of time and is usually done with the intention of deception with the ability to profit from selling something that is in reality counterfeit for more than it is worth. If I had an old run of the mill Tempest or Lemans I would be more interested in putting a Butler motor under the hood than adding fake badges.

Hmmm Butler engine,,, and call it the "crow" ?

In my circles we have sooo many Regals tarted up as GNs and GNs tarted up as GNXs, 'tis a vexation to the spirit.

Now me, I'm pretty happy with my 250 hp EcoBoost Escape. My wife told me at 82, I needed to consider slowing down some.🤮
1st it was no more tall ladders, now it's HP.
I just said "yes dear"
