Full restoration 12 years ago, all original except the transmission, 52,000 miles . Has some minor defects in door arm rest , clock doesn't work , washers don't work, but I will fix all that. Looking forward to car shows and club runs down main street or various scenic drives.

I think if I ever have the luck to find one of these bulls and get the shot of a lifetime and drop him, I would quit hunting . HOW WOULD YOU TOP THIS?

I found another 1970 GTO , 455 HO with a 4 speed, sitting in a barn for 30 years. Same Sierra Gold color! It is possible it is my old car when i was 20 years old. Going to go look at it next Wed. and will at least take pictures if i can not buy it.

Well, no pictures but I did confirm it IS my old GTO I owned when I was 20 years old. We got it out where i could really look at it. Pretty rough body and interior, clutch was out of it. Made an offer but the guy wants almost double what I offered. I just could not buy it. Would have more into it than I could ever sell it for. :crybaby:

I had a similar situation with a 67 427 SS Impala that my dad owned in the late 70's thru mid 80's. The guy that owns it now hunted me down and asked me about buying it. He was asking way more for it than I thought it was worth so I never even went to look at it. I was afraid I would overpay for it if I saw it. :(

That fact has stopped maybe nobody who is into cars. If you have strong ties to your old GTO I would dicker on it.

This guy has seen too many pictures and prices on the internet. I showed him the rusty areas in the trunk and places no one looks at. The whole back of car basically needs replaced. It has been sitting 25 years so the fuel system, brake system , whole interior, clutch, rear end? and engine will need restoration of some kind. I had a person come with me that only restores Pontiacs. He said the car is worth about 50.000 completely restored. By time i pay him what he wants and restore the car i could be in the 60 to 70 range. I would love to get it back but i am a realist. I tried to dicker with him but to no avail. Maybe down the road he will call me and make a counter offer I can deal with.

Has anyone put on a Holley Sniper Fuel Injection on any of their old performance cars? Curious how well they work.

Has a great time hunting for my elk, Had go down hill to find one (hate that). Got late and we had to hang the meat in a tree until we could come get it next morning. Here are a few pictures of my pack horse ( my son) and the elk in the tree.

Well, i ordered in a Holley Sniper fuel injection kit for the GTO. Looks fairly easy to install except for the intank fuel pump. Will keep you up to date when installed.
