rear shock springs

purchased new rear h/d coils, but need help on getting old off and new on..please help thanks mike

You need to compress the springs to get them off...

thanks the top turns off or do i compress untill it loosens? little unsure of myself

Once the spring is compressed you can take the top retainer off. I think it just slides off but I may be wrong. Maybe someone else here can tell you for sure.

The retainer slips off once the coil is compressed.
