rear driven clutch help

I need to take the clutch apart. I don't want to remove the retaining ring and have everything go flying all over the place. What is the method of disassembling it? Any help would be much appreciated. It is for a 2000 Carryall.

Use a press! I would also recommend laying a clear piece of plastic over it while you remove the ring, for they have tendency to fly!

If you're installing a BU torque spring, don't even take it apart. You're going to be horribly unsatisfied!

Send the entire clutch to Cart Parts Plus and let them machine it and you'll be pulling stumps in no time.

I am not adding a spring. I am going to change the orientation as it sits on the "pucks". I'm putting a vanguard into it and since it will spin the opposite direction, I feel that it needs to be adjusted. The only thing I have ever bought from buggies was the dash. And that is a stretch plastics product, so I'm not worried.

If you get the big block kit from CPP, you get a new driven clutch too. The larger diameter clutches make for a lot more low end grunt and a LOT of top end too.

What size belt are you using now with that kit. I was told by Comet that the 1190 uses a 1-7/16" wide belt and that my club car dirven clutch only uses a 15/16" belt.
