I have a 1999 G16 Yamaha Gas Cart with a sizable hole in the rear differential casing. Does anyone know how to remove the differential? Do you have to remove the body of the cart first? Thanks in advance for your help.
You can remove the differential without removing the body. Take the belt off. Un hook all the cables connected on the top. Take the stabilizer bar off on one end in the rear. Disconnect both rear shocks. There is a tricky bolt on the bottom of the rear end toward the front that has to come out. Last, take the 4 bolts that hold the rear end to the frame out on either side.
