Does anyone sell a speed controller that you can program in two different modes. Slow speed for kids and wife. Fast speed for dad?
I need the ability to switch back and forth without too much headace.
Any ideas?

Call EMP,...can't vouch for their product...yet. But it does sound like they have exactly what you are looking for in their 2 speed motor. Low for slow/torque 16mph and high for top end 23mph...so I'm told. I'm currently waiting on one, I post when I get it.

BTW Alltrax does have 650 programmable, sounds pretty cool. I just took a cheaper route.

Did you get the EMP motor with the switch? I read somewhere that you do not really need the switch. I am challenged to determine if the EMP motor setup is better than the Plumbquick (Purple) motor.

Thanks,

I have had both motors.

The EMP was as advertised and I did not have any complaints with its performance. You can wire the motor in either torque or speed mode, but to obtain both you will need the switch.

I currently use the PQ motor and found it to be a better performing motor. I have better torque and speed without the hassle of switching back and forth.

Yes, I am biased but I can honestly say from actual experience that the PQ motor is a better product.

Thanks for the advice. It looks like I will try the Purple motor for now. Any suggestions on matching a controller with the Purple Motor?

Thanks,
