Potentiometer Difference

I have a 98 Club Car DS that came without the Potentiometer - This year model uses the "PIE shaped Multistep unit....

The cart was in flood so all the electrics including the wiring harness are toast......

Was thinking about putting an EX-Go type potentiometer in it as they seem to be cheaper and easier to find....

I'm thinking that Club Car is 5 to 0 Ohm and Ez-Go are 0 to 5 Ohm

Can somebody straighten me out........

All the Club Cars Ive seen are 5 to 0 and EZGO is 0 to 5.
