Pargo 1971-1975 Upgrade

Looking to upgrade old pargo seven solenoid to a newer motor and speed control. Motors are no longer available because of the difference in splines in the newer motors. Not to mention seven solenoid speed control might not be the way to go on a newer motor. It has a Terrel differential. Does anyone know if the input shaft can be changed out for a club car spline? Trying to keep the differential I have now and take some small swings at the upgrade versus getting a donor cart and having to modify everything.

I don't think you'll find a input shaft with Club Car splines but you can check with Vintage Golf Cart Parts and see what they say. The only other options might be to send the motor to EMP or swap the whole rear end. You might be able to use the Baldor motor coupler on a newer motor also.

Ok just sent my info to EMP. Can you tell me where to find the Baldor motor coupler? I’d like to check it out. I was thinking about finding a donor cart and changing rear end and speed control. Do you know where I can find dimensions for the club car rears. Right now I’m at 35-1/4 flange to flange and 45-1/4 overall with the tires on. And if anyone wants info on how to put front disc brakes on these carts I’d be happy to share my experience.

Pargo Junkie I noticed this thread is a year old but I have the same Pargo as you and my rear brakes are week and I can't find replacement pads I'd be interested in your front brake conversion set up!!
