ParCar Spark Problem

1990 Parcar new top end installed, 100 + psi compression. remove spark plug and ground to frame i get all the spark you could want. reinstall plug and use an inline spark checker it only sparks when first depressing gas pedal. Any and all help welcome and appreciated in advance

Sounds like a bad or missing ground wire from frame to engine.

Nubs... I thought that as well and used jumper cable from negative post to the block. I had the same result.

New coil, new plug new plug wire. same results as before. Is it possible that the timing slipped / moved when i replaced the top end?
I still have spark out of the cylinder... but apparently not inside.
