Overhead Console experience?

Has anyone here had any experiences with overhead consoles? I plan on installing one on my '00 CC Carryall, but all the pictures on internet sites show a different roof than mine. Mine has the big ridge going down the middle and the ones shown appear flat. Any ideas on this? BTW, this is a factory top, not aftermarket. Thanks in advance!

I have one on my cart. The CD player skips from the roof shaking. Im not sure if the carry-all has the same roof as a DS.
 
Hmmm, that's what I was afraid of. I'm trying to see how I can mount the actual console since the roof isn't the usual 2000 style. I'll post some pics after I attempt it...thanks,
