Only runs choked

Have to continue to work choke for unit to stay running. Take off choked then release, runs about 30 foot and have to rechoke. Fuel pump clear, replaced plug, first cart i have owned. When purchased test drove fine. Barely runs until choke is pulled. May be just starter turning engine until choked, if that is case why will it only run choked.

What year is it? Have you replaced the fuel filter?

clean carb jet and tube above jet.

these carbs. can be kinda hard to get adjusted at times make sure that the choke is working correctly and may need to make some adjustments on the butterfly or possibly the throttle

i would take the carb off and go over it, take your time make sure you get every jet, also the fuel pump and fuel filters.............................................................
