Older Club Car - Just Quits - Motor Hot?

We have an older club car - electric. Don't know but probably 80's model. After running for about 1-3 minutes - it just dies and then if you keep pushing on the pedal it will start up again. However, after about 5 minutes or so, it will just quit - motor is hot. If you wait about 5 minutes, it will start up again.

The batteries seem to be holding a charge just fine. Any ideas on what MAY be going on? Thanks!

My suggestion is check all your wiring connections. Make sure there are no loose terminals or connections.

possible brushes in motor are going bad....................................
