Old 295 in a GXT-804 Has a Lot Of Pressure In Gas Line From Block To Fuel Pump

the vacuum line that goes to the fuel pump has alot of pressure in it when i take it off the fuel pump, never encountered this problem before? any ideas anybody?

well its a straight shot right outta the block, its really not a vacuum port. those engines build alot of crankcase pressure. like when ya start it with the oil cap off, blow by passed the rings will build pressure. breather reed stuck shut also. those fuel pumps operate from pressure pulse's, if it pumps fuel its all good
