Hi my name is Mary and I live in Hobart, OK. We are located in the SW corner of the state. Our population is around 4300 and town is pretty much around our courthouse square. We passed the laws in our town and Sept. 1, 2008 and slowly we are seeing more and more cars on the street every week.
I have stopped driving my Ranger PU and drive my Club Car DS- Gas to work everyday.
It costs me $9.00 to fill it up and this friday will be 2 weeks and I haven't used maybe an 1/8 of a tank. I am in shock at the gas I am saving

driving it and the fun I am having.

Our ordinance required head, tail and brake lights.
A full windshield, rearview mirror, seatbelts and a horn.
You must be 16 years old and have a drivers license and insurance.
We go to the local police department for an inspection and they give you a sticker on your windshield for $10.00 a year.
If anyone would like a copy of our ordinance I would be happy to email it to you.

I think what you have in Hobart is a good thing for everyone, lessen our dependence on foreign oil and a lot of fun to boot.
