Not taking a charge

Hello everyone,

My Club Car is not taking a charge. The batteries are not completly drained but wont take a charge when plugged in. In addition, the cart looses momentum when going uphill, sometimes struggling to finish the hill and begins to shake. When this happens, the batteries stilt have a good charge.

I think I have the batteries are properly wired but I am no expert when dealing with these matters. I will include pictures and any help would be appreciated. 8volt batteries.

Check to make sure battery cables are clean and tight. Check your charger connections.

Cables and poles are clean, tight and the outlets are functioning properly.

Batteries may be to low for the charger to take. You might have to charge each one with a seperate 8 volt charger... Someone with more experience will be here shortly

Check the batteries with a digital volt meter and let us know what your total battery pack voltage is.

Individual tests show 7.6volts on all the batteries. Total of 45.6volts on the bunch.

They don't measure up too good it would seem. I'm headed into town tomorrow looks like I need to pick up an 8v charger. It seems wierd to me that when the batteries get so low the charger would kick on, isn't that what chargers are for?

If you have 45.6 volts you have enough voltage to turn the charger on. What year is the cart?
