I was recently given a club cart by my father. From what i learned from this great site so far..i have figured out it is a 91 model. The engine plate says fz340d. The issue is the engine is very hard to turn over by hand. I fully charged the battery..it reads 12.7 volts. The starter spins when the pedal depresses but slipson the belt. I did checkk battery voltage and it drops to 7.6. My question is would a battery be the issue or is it possible the engine is froze. Thanks in advance!

if the battery is dropping that low thats 1 problem and also the belt should not spin on starter it needs tightened up...............replace battery and tighten belt and try........check your oil 1st to make sure it has enough................................

I appreciate the info. The engine is very hard to turn over by hand. I removed the plug and poured seizing oil in the cylinder. It is getting easier to turn but still hard. I will pick up a new batt today and tighten the belt to see if i can turn it over with a hot battery. Any info on the fz340d would be great. Are they reliable engines? As soon as i get it running i will have a lot more questions. I am wanting to put a small lift on it and increase the tire size. So thanks y'all!

Welcome to the forum.

The Kawasaki engines that Club Car uses are pretty tough engines. There's a Kawasaki Service Manual in the resource section of the forum for that engine and others.
