No Start Gas On the Floor

I have an 04 precedent that gets used pretty often. When I pushed the pedal I can hear a click but the engine doesn't start. I pushed the pedal a few more times and the engine started up and ran though I ended up not driving anywhere. The next day there was a puddle of gas under the cart. My first thought is battery so I will check it. After reading the posts about starter/generator and voltage regulator problems I assume I need to check the battery first and rule that out then the voltage reg and then the starter gen if the first 2 don't fix it. Any suggestions??

The gas leaking could be from dirt in the carb. I'd clean the carb right away. Pull the dipstick and see if the oil smells like gas. If it does change the oil after you pull the carb apart and clean it good.

Battery was dead so I refilled and am charging right now. I also went and checked the oil and full of gas. I took carb out and cleaned thoroughly last year for this same problem, is that something that has to be done annually? I'm off to change the oil and clean carb.

How often it need to be cleaned depends on how clean the fuel system is. Does the cart sit a lot not being used? If so that can cause your problem also.

I thought GAS in the OIL was caused by too much of a dip in the line from the fuel pump to the carb.....too much rubber hose.

Am I right?

If dirt gets in the needle and seat it will cause the carb to dump over into the cylinder and you will get oil in the gas.
