Newbie questions, PDS or not

Newbie here,
I'm looking for a lifted cart with rear flip seat to use for hunting, no sand mostly hard pack soil, two or three riders, minimal creek crossings, some decent hills. Biggest question is I know of a 2004 EZGO PDS with new batteries and "programmed "for torque??? I have heard it is better to stay away from PDS and go with a series for what I'm doing. I like the top end speed but want dependability??? I also understand it is easier to upgrade a series than a PDS(for more speed and torque). So much info!?!?!?!? Where to start???? Any help would be appreciated.

creek is typically less then four to five inches, and if it gets deeper than that I can go another way around or just leave cart on trailer till I get across and then unload and go the rest of the way on the cart. I'm guessing the electric motors do not do well if submerged?

You should be ok as lomg as your only talking about 4 to 5". I like the series carts myself.

Well I came across a 99 club car ds series with an upgraded high speed motor and 2010 trojan batts. and a rear seat with hd springs. I bought it and will be adding an All Sports, super sport 6" lift and 22" tires.
