Hi eveyone, i just picked up a 2004 txt pds (36 vlt.)
for starters i think it needs batteries, fully charged with the ezgo charger
the cart will only go about 6 blocks before it slows down alot.then have to charge again
i live in canada and was quoted $175 ea.(wow)

for the trojan battery, does that
sound reasonable?
also the cart beeps after driving just a couple blocks then stops then will start up
again, what causes this?
could the 2 problems be related?
thanks in advance to all who reply!

Welcome to the forum.

Can you get other brands of batteries in Canada. No way I would pay $175 a piece for Trojan batteries. See if you can find some Interstates or something else.

The beeps you're hearing are codes. If you look on the controller cover there should be a sticker that helps explain about diagnostic mode on your cart. If not you can get all the info here in the EZGO Resource Forum.

thanks for your response, i found a place that will sell me an exide 6vlt.
deep cycle for $120, thats a little better
i'll have to get all the batteries load tested and see how many are bad.
i'll also get the diagnostics checked out also shortly, thanks
btw. how far can i expect fully charged 36 vlt. cart to go? (i'm not a golfer)

You should get at least 25 miles or 2+ hours of actual run time. Terrain will play a big role in the amount of run time you'll get.
