New truck

What truck would you get if you had $3000? Im thinking maybe a jeep cherokee or land rover if I can find one cheap enough. I would like to stay away from the jeep because everyone has a jeep but I like it otherwise. The landrover discoveery is by far my most favorite vehicle. There was one in the paper today for $3800 obo. Its a loaded 97 in good condition.
 
Yeah Ive been thinking about an xj. They arent to shabby offroad and there are some sick long travel suspensions for it.

There is a 94 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 in the paper today for $1500. Is that a fair price? Is this the same thing as an xj?
 
I'm going to look at it tomorrow. Its suppose to be in good condition.

I got a new truck today!

Its a 1984 Ford F-150 4x4. It has a 3" lift with 33" tires with super low rock crawling gears. This thing is a beaut! Body and frame is in perfect shape with no rust what so ever. As soon as I saw it I had to have it. This truck looks like it did back in 84! I'm so happy. This is my first 4x4. I'll get pics tomorrow.
 
Alright first off trucks aren't sexy. Never call a lifted truck sexy or any truck. Trucks are badass not sexy. Can I ask why you got a 4x4 with crawling gears? You planin to just crawl through all the mud you see and not drive on the road? But get some pics up my friends got an old Ford with 33's it looks pretty decent.
 
Here some pics for ya. Its in very good shape for its age. There isnt one spot of rust on it even underneath. I have already had it in a little mud. I just couldnt resist.
