new tires

i thought i would lower the air pressure in my tires to get a bit smoother ride on the dirt roads and noticed the new sahara classics said 36lbs to seat the bead and not to run them over 5lbs after seated...this sounds a bit weird..
they had 20lbs in them and i lowered them to 14lbs each...is it safe to go lower as 5lbs seems real low,,whats the lowest i can go without worry of breakin the bead, thanks, john

also while im asking...i have a 4 stroke 295cc ezgo..i supose that means i can run my normal
10w30 oil of my choice in the crankcase??im kinda hooked on vavoline,havoline,penzoil..

You can run the tires at 5 lbs if you want and it shouldn't cause any problems. I run 16 lbs in the rear and 12 lbs in the front but I've ran them at 5 lbs before and they were fine. Any of the oil you mentioned will be fine. When it's hot out I run straight 30 weight in carts.

thanks hrc,,i will try the 14 lbs the rest of the week and then the 5 -8 lbs this weekend...guess id better be thinkin about gettin a matching spare tire and wheel also, just incase..john

well ive been running 14 lbs in the rear and 10 lbs in the front and am very happy with the little more cushion when hitting bumps in the dirt..its rideing much softer than with them at 25 lbs for sure, john

10 - 15 lbs make them ride nice. 25 lbs is neck jarring when your off-road

good to here..i may go a bit lower in that case just to see if i like it better..but i may should stay where im at also as i do hit the pavement also w/out upping the pressure, john

I run my strykers at 10 in the front and 12 in the back and its like riding on marshmellows. The wear pretty even on the street with these pressures to.

good deal,,ive been worrying about wearing them out with the lower pressure on the street..that makes me feel better, john

How about ""street tires" like Kendra 205-50-10s? Told 22lbs or they would wear outside quick? Seems a little much to me for comfortable ride.(?)

You can usually run 22 lbs in the Kendra tire or any other street tire and they will ride decent. Your best bet is to run them as close to 22 as you can but running them a little lower is fine. You'll have to experiment with the air pressure to find whats right for you.
