I just purchased a 1993 Club Car 36V cart. Much to the dismay of my wife I might add. Cart is stock and in great shape. I plane to convert this over the winter into a hunting cart. Im looking forward to the challenges as I am not exactly what you would call savy with this type of thing. I plan to spend lots of time on the forum and look forward to any assistance I can get.

Here is what I plan on doing:
1) 6" Jakes Spindle Lift Kit
2) New tires and wheels
3) Back Seat with flip down deck
4) Heavy rear leaf spring
5) new batteries ( from what I read Trojan t105's are a good way to go)
6) New torque motor ( I dont know what motor to get any help is appreciated)

Can you give me pointers on these purchases and any thing else you suggest that I purchase to benefit the above?

Thanks for the help

Shadowman, there appears to be a metal board with a long spring type metal piece and several lugs with wires going to them. Does this mean it is a resistor cart?

yes thats a resistor cart bummer.................now you can still upgrade it but its gonna cost more money to do so...................you can,t upgrade with the resistors because the extra voltage/heat will keep melting them and will play havoc with the V-glide..........but in the end if your willing to put the money into it than it can be done...............to make a decent hunting buggy with a lift and back seat i would suggest converting to 48 volts however you don,t have to but in my opinion with what you have right now and what you want the finished cart to be your gonna drop at the minimum 1000 to 1500 dollars into it and maybe more............keep in mind with a back seat and lift your gonna need at least a 400 amp controller, the motor redone or an after market, a pot box, heavy duty solenoid, 4 gage cables thurout the cart ( not just battery cables ) lift, tires/wheels ...................is a back seat a real nessesity? if its a hunting buggy a cargo bed might be better and cheaper.........anyways its sounds like you,ll have a blast re-doing it just do it right..........................................

Thanks for the help guys. I took your advise and traded the old cart in on a newer 08 48V club car precedent. Found a guy in Oklahoma that fixes them up and sells them. Great guy and very knowledgable. im looking forward to working on my new cart.
