Picked the cart up today from the maint guy's at the course. They think it is a G14, but were not sure. Need some help on where the serial number is located.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Yamaha puts the serial numbers in different places on the various models. It should be in one of these places.
Under the rear bumper stamped into the square cross member.
Under the seat where the floorboard meets the engine compartment.
Running vertically just under the glove box on the far left of the driver's side of the cart.

Thanks !
Will check it out today. Installed a new battery, replaced some cables and installed a few new terminals. Disconnected the spark plug and the engine turns over. Want to change the oil etc. before I try to get it running.
Have pictures I will upload later along with the long range plans.
Thanks Again

Changed the fluids put the plug wire back on and it fired right up. Let it run for a while checked for leaks and drove it around the neighborhood, actually ran pretty good. Brought it back to the garage and adjusted the governor IAW information I've read on this site. Back out in the neighborhood and it ran REALLY good, headed back towards the house down a small grade and discovered it goes much faster than the current brakes capability. Almost took out my neighbors house

Now that I have clean underwear I'm going out to look for the serial number.

The stock golf cart brakes aren't the best when you get in the 20 MPH and over range.

Found the serial nuber and confirmed the cart is a 1996 G14.
I'm looking for a lift kit and tires and wheels.
The cart will eventually wind up in Baja and will be driven off and on road with some time in sand on the beach. I have steel wheels on my sand rail and spend alot of time cleaning rust and repainting so I'm leaning towards something that handles salt and look cool.

Suggestions appreciated
