New batteries and will not go

I intalled new batteries and new positive and ground cables .
Have and tryed spare controller. Still will not go. ??? Help.
Volt. Tested batt. Have. 36. Checked switch. It has continuity
key missing. So I hooked the two wires together when I try to start.
Hit peddle no power ?

What year is the cart? Did it run before you installed the new batteries?

the person that i bought it from said it did he took bat out because it sat in a shed and didnt want corrosion 03

Check the reed switch in the charger port on the golf cart. There is instructions on how to bypass the reed switch in the ezgo resource section on the forum.
