need some help

I just got my 1st cart. A 98 Club car. We made it look nice but there is a rattle in motor or gears. It happens when the cart is going fast or downhill, like the gears cant keep up with the speed. It stops if you take foot off pedal and does not make the noise going uphill when there is resistence. Ive replaced the bushing and the bearing in motor but no luck. Does anyone have an idea where I should look next?? Thanks.

It sounds like you need the motor centering kit, Club Car Part Number: AM10039. It costs around $20 and is easy to install.

Had a similar issue with my 2000 club car and solved the problem by replacing the differential's planetary gears. Now runs like a sewing machine! Well almost.
