Need some help

I have a 1998 club car (gas) and when I run it for a hour or even a half hour. Then let it sit for a half hour, go to put in reverse, and give it a little of pedal to start going again, it does not want to go. But eventually get going, but no problems when running, no missing or stalling.

Could this be a fuel filter problem, carb problem, and should you use a 92 premimum octane to help it run smother.

Any help would be appreciated, also just changed plug, air cleaner is clean, gas filters seem to be clear.

Wanted to load up with fuel when pushing pedal and not going.

I'd try taking the carb apart and cleaning it. Use compressed air to blow it out after cleaning it. If you didn't change the gas filters you may want to replace them to be safe.
