I have a gas Club Car...don't know the year.......when I first start it will run about 1 to 1.5 miles...then when I stop, it sounds like the engine is running, but it won't move...this happens within a few hours after the initial running of the vehicle...but if I let it sit for about 4 or more hours it will run again fine for about 1 to1.5 miles, but when I stop again it will rev but not move..happens in both forward and reverse...just had a full tune-up, new gas, and new rpm limiter installed to fix the problem but it still continues...any suggestions???????

is the engine actualy running or is the s/g just spinning the engine and it will not start?. in your post you stated that it sounded like it was running then that it would rev but would not move. just want to make sure so that i understand your problem correctly.

I know the motor is reving because I floor the pedal and wait for some motion and then it will go about 5 feet and then stop while the engine is reving.....and if I continue to run the engine, about 15 seconds later I will get another 5 foot spurt.

just something to try take the seat off the cart you should be able to sit on the side of the body start the cart as you normaly would and take a look at your clutches and belt.you can also jack the rear wheels off of ground to do this your clutches or belt could attribute to this problem.
