I have a 1997 DS 48 volt Club Car S# A9730-589176
I need a service/repair manual for it? Please advise as to cost and availability.

I'm pretty sure CartPartsPlus carries the Club Car Serveice Manuals. I looked on their website and didn't see them listed so you'll have to give them a call. The link is on the bottom of the forum pages. Or you can get them through any Club Car Dealer. If you go to clubcar.com and use the dealer locater you should be able to find a dealer in your area. The price is somewhere around $50.
