Here are some pictures of my Yamaha G9 project. I built the suspension lift, it has monroe coil overs in the front, welded new cross member to extend the wheel base further back centering the rear wheels, new 13hp engine conversion, Comet 780 clutch, 25 x 12.50 super swamper tsl tires, rock crawler wheels, reupholstered seats.
It still has a ways to go, will be installing a street legal package to make this road legal: head/tail lights, turn signals, retractable seat belts, fold down windshield, horn, mirror, top, and roof light. Also soon to add a winch, racing steering wheel, diamond plate rockers, trailer hitch, stainless steering column and paint the cart.
The first test drive was fun and this cart is peppy! I do need to work on reducing engine to chassis vibration and noise because this aluminum body is loud. I'm going to insulate the engine mounts with rubber, use Zilla sound deadening material on all interior sides of the aluminum body, and put a 3/4" thick rubber mat in the utilty bed. That'll put a sock in it.
