Microswitch or pot box

I am having an intermittent problem with not getting current to the solenoid. After letting the cart sit for a few days, I couldnt get the solenoid to click again. No 36v to the "actuator" terminal of the solenoid. I tapped the "pot box" and microswitch and it started working again. My question is are there any parts in the pot box that tapping would effect or does this sound like my microswitch going bad?

The micro sends juice to solenoid. The pot sends signal to controller but not curuit. The pot works off OHM's!
Micro switch is the problem.

Thats what I was thinking from all of the wiring diagrams. Thanks for the help, would rather buy a $5 microswitch than the $100 pot box.

Thanks again.

It is hitting it fine and seems to click all of the time. It only quits working after sitting for a few days, as I am rebuilding it completely and have the batteries disconnected for a few days. Seems to be fine if I use it often?????

if you have the F&R lever be sure to check the micro switchs behind the F&R as they have wires going to the pot also 1 wire thats black and also make sure the metel isn,t starting to bend thats a problem with them only problem is its not your 5$ micro its a touch more.....................................

Thanks for the info guys. Ordered a new micro as this particular one was only used for 1 year they tell me. After taking it off to show the guys at the store, a small amount of corrosion was noted on it. The guy there told me to spray some wd40 on it and that may prolong its life.
