Melex 512E

Good day all , I have an unknown year Rexel 512E ( tried identifying year many ways but the serial makes no sense to any of them ) I attached 3 12v batteries to make my 36v of which I'm reading 38.4v at every connection tested , if you push the pedal the solenoid clicks but no motor movement. Direct wired to the motor and it reacts accordingly. I've tested power to the motor and have 38.4v at all 4 connectors. I've also checked the pot and have 0.5 ohm to 7k ohm at full throttle even smooth progression throughout, I did blow what looks like a small resistor? Between the two small terminals on the solenoid so ill need help identifying that but that was during the testing phase so the condition existed before that as well. The f/r switch does appear to be aligned properly and the micro switches are all acting as they should. Only thing I don't know how to test is the controller which appears to be an ez-go style with 4 large wires and 3 smaller 2 of which are from the pot. Any help would be appreciated, im running short of ideas and haven't been able to find answers doing a general search.

Sorry to post twice but I can't figure out how to fix my other post since I screwed up the make lol.

The small resistor was really a diode. Do you know if the voltage on A2 of controller is going to near zero when pedal pressed to floor? If not i think the controller is gone. Power goes out to A1 thru F&R Switch back to A2 which grounds thru controller internally to B- which is the ground cable to batteries. If A2 is not grounding or voltage is not dropping to ground the controller is not working. I am assuming F&R is good, motor brushes and armature are good, and pot input works.

A2 is not going to ground when the pedal is pressed I get 38 volts across the boards , so my controller is toast , do they make an upgraded controller that allows for full performance or is stock it ?

I would just send yours in for repair, it would cost too much for what the cart is worth to modify it.

Do you happen to know what the diode should be? I know they're usually color coded but there's literally nothing left to decode.
