Kids ran golf cart without checking oil level. Motor is locked down. Can it be rebuilt? If not where can I find a Robins 295 to replace it?

most times they can be rebuilt, more than likely one of the rods seized to the crankshaft. about 300.00 in parts if your able to do the work, what yr is the cart.

I am a machinist by training and a Boy Scout Camp Ranger by choice (Fix-it all man). I have not backed away from a challenge yet. Would like to tear this motor apart but will need some guidence. Is there a rebuild manual for this motor? Where can I find parts at a reasonable price? Being new to the Golf Cart world I need to establish a relationships with reliable vendors. Any suggestions?

any of the sponsors here can set you up but its my feeling that using factory parts is the only way to go with these engines.
Eric @ Radical golf carts is great to work with and has factory parts in stock at a fair price.

i do also recommend that you replace the valves, guides and cut the seats, ez go engines are well know for valve failure. if you would like to farm the head work out i can set ya up, just sayin'
