Lift kit installation

I have just installed a new lift kit on my cart. Why are my brakes locked up now. The cables running to the drums and very tight, and I can't even budge them. Any suggestions to get my brakes back on track?

what year cart and what brand lift did you install.

your suposed to re locate the brake cable... pull the driver side out of the holder next to battery tray and the passenger one remove from the holder under the battery try....
