Hello to all, New here tryin to install a 6" lift on my brothers 04 club car precedent ?
we set toe and caster .prob. is when we drive it the wheels bow out as we go forward and then straighten up when we back up. could it be a weak leaf sring or what we have no idea
Any help would be great.

Thanks Gary

well there is not much we have not tried. No matter how we set the toe when we drive forward the tires bow. at any speed. when we back up they go straight again. The kit is an
All Sports spindle kit 6".I kinda get the idea about toe in but it seems to go against logic.
But I will try anything at this point. You guys know alot more about this stuff than we do .
I dont know jack about these things
Again any help would be great .

Don't take this the wrong way, but is the lower control arm installed properly? I am not sure of your exact kit, but if it is the one I think it is, there is a letter "F" stamped on each one, and while my instructions set did not include the information, I read in another post that the "F" means front (towards front of cart). It is stamped on the larger bracket of the lower control arm (the part that gets bolted to the center of cart).

Again, not sure if it matters but thought I would mention it.

Otherwise, weak spring in the front? But I am new to this. Just installed my kit yesterday (BU 6" spindle lift kit-I think they are made by the same company). Good luck, YD

I'm not a smart man. You could not insult me if ya tried.
I'm helping my brother he installed the whole thing and brought it to me this way.As for the control arm I don't think it was removed at all.Seems just a raised spindle set up.
I'm thinking weak spring he is gonna order one there kinda cheap. Hate throwing parts at it.
That can get costly. Thanks for any ideas

Gary

If the tires squat while driving forward, then the toe needs to be set inward at the front of the tires. The F is there for assembly purposes only. You cannot install the lower control arm wrong. I don't see how it would bolt up. If you or your brother don't get it straight by tomorrow, y'all can call me at the shop @ 866-291-5244. Club Car and Yamaha are very sensitive to the toe setting with a spindle lift.

Gary,
Just got off the phone with Ronnie. I believe he's on the right path now. He has an '04 Club Car Precedent with a spindle lift. All Sports does not mfg. a spindle lift for the Precedent. He couldn't tell me who's lift it was, but I think we worked out the toe issue. We'll find out soon...

There are good lifts on the market for that cart, right?. Seems to me i remember my local dealer replacing a junk lift on a Precedent.

Thats the point i was trying to make. I knew it was an AS lift they used to correct the problem.
