I have a Hyundai HGG-1 gas golf cart that I use for sporting clays ( pics to follow) I am having trouble with the key. It is hard to get it to turn on and off. I think its just worn out. I have used lube and tried to blow it out. If I just get it turned on and leave it on till I am done for the day will it burn something up? I am looking for another key switch.

As long as the micro switch(s) and solenoid are operating like they should leaving the key on won't burn anything up. But for safety you should replace the switch. Even a toggle switch would be better than nothing at all.
