I just purchased an 03 Club Car, that is having a problem with the reverse. sometimes it works sometime it doesn't. The previous owner said it has been doing that for a year or better. Even when it's doesn't reverse you can still hear it clicking at the controller. This is my 1st cart, I need all the help I can get. Thanks

Is it an IQ cart? If so, does the yellow light come-on when you turn the key to the "on" position, then push reverse? If so, just tap the pedal at that point, the light should go out and the cart may go when you press the pedal again. If not, sorry for wasting your time. It works for me and two neighbors. There is suppose to be something in the owner's manual about what that means when it happens, but I haven't got mine yet so I can't check.
I've made some progress but not solved my problem yet. I have traced the problem to the middle wire (black) on the micro switch closes to rear of cart. I replaced the switch so I know its good. I can take the black wire off and put the white wire in its place and have a reverse but then i lose forward. I think the black wire is running to the rear of the cart.

Is it a series cart or a IQ cart? Which switch did you replace the micro switch or the forward and reverse switch? It sounds like one of the two is bad...
