Installing a stereo/cd player

What is the proper method to install a basic stereo and speakers on my 1975 Marathon 36v. Someone before me tried and the wires are burnt in a couple places. I cut the old stuff off and am starting from scratch.

I installed a separate 12V batt. strictly for my stereo and after market lights. It makes for easy. Just hook up Pos. and Neg. with a fuse and your good to go. If you want the "memory" to work on the stereo you'll have to go through a toggle switch so you will have a constant power source going through the stereo. If this is something you want to try, let me know and i'll help with instructions on how I did it. Good luck.

Remember nothing on an electric cart gets grounded to the frame of the cart. All negative connections go to negative on the battery.
