Installed New Batteries In My EZGO and Can't Get It To Move

Hello, new to forum. I recently installed new batteries in my 2003 EZGGO TXT Fleet (old ones were no good) and I can't get it to move. Cart had been sitting for a few weeks.
I tested voltage on all batteries and all measured 6.15V-6.2V. I tried to test voltage by following schematic but got somewhat confused since I'm not sure what should be at solenoid and controller.

Please Help!

Welcome to the forum...

Check the voltage at the charger receptacle on the cart so we can see if the pack is wired correctly.

Does the reverse buzzer work when you put the cart in reverse? If not you may have blown the reed switch...

The charger receptacle measures at 36.8 V. The buzzer works when I put it in reverse but when I step on the gas pedal the sound lessens.

36.8 volts is low but should be enough for the cart to move. Was the cart working before you put the new batteries in?

The solenoid is under the black cover on the passenger side under the seat. Does the solenoid click when the key is on with cart in gear and push the go pedal?

Double check all your connections...

Also you should charge the batteries until the charger shuts off...

I double checked connections and they are solid. I do have some corrosion on a couple of terminals I did not clean well enough from the old batteries.

I checked to hear if the solenoid was clicking and noticed it was clicking maybe one out of every ten times. I kept pushing the gas pedal over and over to see if would gain some consistency and it did and the cart finally moved. I thought I solved my problem and went for a 10 minute ride I came back and tried again and the same thing happened, the solenoid isn't clicking. Could it be a bad solenoid? Resistor? Diode? Or maybe inconsistency because of corrosion on terminals? I started recharging batteries to get a full charge. THey measured 34.2 before plugging in.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

I would get ALL the connections clean then let the batteries charge until the charger shuts off. It's not good for the batteries to let them discharge that far.

I took a wire brush and cleaned and tightened all the terminals but it seems like some of the wiring is hard and brittle like it can break easily. Once I did this the cart worked for a while but it stopped working again while driving it and had to tow it. I am thinking of buying 6 gauge wire and connectors and replacing some of the wiring.
What do you think? Is there any danger to the cart(03 txt) when towing it?

THanks.

If the cables are bad you should replace them. Towing is no problem. If the cart is a PDS cart make sure the run tow switch is flipped to tow. Keep the speed slow while towing...

Any welding supply store should have what you need. Or you can buy good cables already made from Allsports or most golf cart parts sites. I'd suggest upgraging ALL cables to 4 guage welding cable like the cables Allsports sells.
