I need some ideas on how to install an fm-cd radio with an auxillary jack. I want to run i-pod in cart and don't know exactly how to do it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Are you using marine radios or car radios? I would like to install the speakers behind the front and rear seat backs and the radio in the dash. THANKS!

I would say that you could use either radio just hook your 12v power to a constant hot and your remote wire to your keyed swith. This will keep your clock and preset stations in memory and turn the raido off and on with the key. I dont know much about mp3 but I did do custom car audio at tweeter before I got into the A/C bizz. If you have any questions about which wires to hook where, you can post them here and Ill try to help

Theres a spot in my dash that looks like its made for a din style radio. I know its not but thats where I plan on mounting mine. It shouldn't take to much custom work to mount it. The speakers can go in a custom inclosure between the seats. I plan on mounting speakers in an inclosure between the front and rear seat and in the front floor board or on the front of the body by the f/r switch. Someone on the forum built a console that goes from just under where the f/r switch would be up to the dash and mounted thier head unit and speakers in it and it looks great. I cant remember where to find it but maybe HRC knows and can post a link.

Ricky,

If your cart is a TXT this what it looks like inside your dash behind the ball holder:

As you can see there is plenty of room for a head unit. This area stays very dry as long as that splash shield remains in place.

Ihave A TXT In one Cart And A Ruff & Tuff cart I Wont To Put Radios In Both. I Had The Front Cap Off The Ruff & Tuff A While Back So I Got A Good Look. It Is Real Similar To A Ezego. I Guest The Splash Shield You Refer To Is The Black Plastic Peice In Front of The Steering. I was Concerned About It geting Wet. I Ride In My gasture And The Woods Here In Lousiana. I Also Pressure Wash The cart. Wonder If I Need A Marine Radio Or Not? I Have Looked At Radios Today You Are Limited With marine Radios. I Am Trying To Get Some Ideas And See What Others Are Using.

Thanks For The Help

Ricky,

Get a marine radio if you like, but you could use a regular automotive unit also. If you want to, you might look for a marine stereo faceplate hood product. It would allow you to close the hood (protecting the head unit) and wash the cart.

And matt75, it is in fact a ball holder, but I have a hard time getting mine in there!
