I got me an '06 CC

I broke down and bought me an '06 CC but don't know anything about it. It's white with a square front and says IR on the front. It has push button F@R. Tell me what you know about it, Is this one of the CC's that is capable of having the controller reprogrammed for more power? Most importantly where is that EXTREMELY annoying reverse beeper and how can I disconnect it??

Thanks

Congrats on the new cart...

Is the 2nd letter in the serial number a Q? Is there a receptacle under the forward and reverse switch? If so it's a IQ cart and can be programmed to top speed of around 19 MPH. The reverse buzzer is behind the dash near the key switch. Your better off putting a piece of tape over it to quiet it down instead of disconnecting it.

Thanks!

The second letter is Q and it does have a round port under the F-R switch. I was hoping it could be programmed for more torque, I'm not too concerned about speed. I would really like to make the buzzer completely quiet, will it mess it up to unhook it? If so maybe I can put a whole roll of tape on it!

19.6 is what they can program it to. I did mine and like it. Thats with stock tires. Lift and 22's i get 22. something.

Is that something a dealer has to do? I don't mean to hijack but I'm interested in what goes on inside the controller. I'm sort of a control freak myself. Do they use CAN like most modern automobiles?

My understanding of it is, the dealer sends the serial number to Club Car. CC sends the dealer a code to input with a Iqdm meter. I hear only dealers have this meter.

It's great! I can't keep my daughter and grand daughter off of it long enough to ride it myself!!

I want to order me a Jakes lift and tires/wheels but cant decide if I want to spring for the long travel or stick with the spindle lift.

The long travel lift kits are pricey.

From what I see the spindle lift gets the job done for most uses.
