Everyone I know who has bolted or screwed them on wound up cracking the windshield eventually. On my red EZGO I wound up using black Gorilla tape to help hold it in place along with the plastic clips.

How can it slide down? Mine has 4 clips along the bottom that the windshield slides down into. It does not move. It can't. Not enless you put the wrong clamps on the bottom.

Yes, you can bolt them down. Use rubber washers and lock nuts. If the bolt is 1/4", drill the hole out to 3/8" give it some breathing room. Be careful when drilling. Best to use a dremmel. You can easily crack the plastic when the bit just breaks through. Or clamp it down tight against a block of hard wood.

if you mean the clips sliding down that is easy. Put a screw in the inside of the frame. not through the windsheild, but the inside part. That will keep the bracket from sliding down and won't crack your windsheild. i screwed it from the front on the other and it cracked really quickly.

I agree dont screw or bolt through the windshield. Rubber washers or not it will crack eventually.
