1 - Try to resize your pictures to no bigger than 800x800, larger pictures will automatically be resized. (Avatars should be no larger than 200x200 before uploading)
2 - Use the Upload a File Button to upload pictures to your post.
3 - You can also create a album in the Media Gallery and add pictures there.
If you have pictures hosted on another website you can:
1 - Or you can Upload the pictures to the host of your choice.
2 - Copy the URL of the picture(s) from the host site you uploaded to.
3 - On the post screen click the IMG button, a window will pop up.
4 - Paste the URL from the picture host into the window and click OK.
